Abstract

Introduction: Aging is a physiological change in humans
and it is extremely important to improve health and
preserve functional abilities and quality of life.
Aim: The aim of this paper is to determine the impact of
exercise on the quality of life of older women.
Materials and methods: The sample included 93
subjects (N = 93). The subjects performed balance
and coordination exercises, muscle strengthening and
stretching exercises, eight weeks twice a week for 45
minutes. The EQ-5D-5L Health Questionnaire and
the McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) were used to
assess quality of life.
Results: The results indicate an improvement in mobility
and usual activities (p> 0.001) and a decrease in pain
intensity (p <0.001).
Conclusion: The results of the study confirm the
importance of exercise, and the impact on the intensity
of pain and quality of life of older people.
