Abstract

This work presents a way to connect PLC with measuring devices via MODBUS protocol. The configuration is divided into three parts: program programming in the TIA Portal, configuration of the measuring device using the IP address and creating a visual interface. Within the TIA Portal, the data read from the measuring device is converted into data suitable for display on the visual interface. The converted data is used in the calculation of electricity consumption. The visual interface consists of three windows: voltage and current window, power window and consumption graph window.
