Abstract

In an era of rapid urban growth and development, smart cities are becoming essential for sustainable and efficient urban management. One of the key aspects of smart city management is maintaining noise at optimal levels, as it can significantly impact the quality of life for residents. The introduction outlines the challenges posed by increasing urbanization and the need for the development of smart cities. This paper provides a closer look at the concept of smart cities, listing the elements that cities should meet to be considered smart cities. The paper also addresses the issue of noise in urban environments, noise indicators, and how noise is measured and displayed through strategic noise maps, conflict noise maps and action plans.
