Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the business performance of the OnlyFans platform and to point out the possibilities of developing an entrepreneurial project in the digital transformation model. The development of the platform and business model is directly related to the development of the postmodern society, in which the boundaries of classic entrepreneurial projects associated with the production and sale of physical goods, or entrepreneurial projects associated with the "brick-and-mortar" model of production and distribution, are being erased. The paper analyses selected financial indicators in order to indicate the financial efficiency of the platform. The research also includes a statistical analysis of user trends in the selected period, as well as part of a descriptive analysis of the impact of digital business transformation on the development of entrepreneurial projects on the platform. The research results indicate an exponential growth of the platform's income as well as the number of users. The platform enables a relatively simple access model, in the context of starting an entrepreneurial project, and pre-defines the revenue models of content providers. The research results prove the correlation between the growth of the platform and the earnings of users who sell content. The descriptive results of the research also point to the asymmetry of earnings, that is, platform users who have developed profiles and careers on other platforms, and in other types of media, earn incomparably higher incomes than new entrepreneurs who are just starting their activities on the platform.
