Seven Tawny Owl Strix aluco nestlings found in one nestbox

Abstract
Since 2019, I have been doing research on the nestbox occupancy of Tawny Owls Strix aluco on Medvednica Mt, NW Croatia. The nestboxes dimensions were 22 x 22 x 65 cm with a 15 cm diameter entrance hole. In one out of 20 nestboxes installed and monitored
in 2021, I found seven eggs and later seven nestlings. In 2022, no breeding was recorded in that nestbox. However, in 2023, there were six eggs in that nestbox, and five offspring left the nest (one egg was unfertilized).
