Abstract

The paper "Intermediate poetry of Croatian postmodernity from 1991 to 2023" shows the phenomena of transition as a strategy of poetic intermediality in the context of strong History as well as its "weak" repercussions. Strong History, with its existential subject imposition, removes figurativeness and the Game as the dominant field of the Letter, moves these two categories to more distant textual positions, while the Game and its kinetic representative of the choreography of textual structures strive and succeed in establishing the return of the field of dehierarchization and cheerfulness. The work shows how intermediality is maintained and continued through the experiences of exhibitions, individual poetic texts in project interventions, complete collections and even oeuvres, but also precious reprints of avant-garde texts, exposing a kind of state of transition, but also an essentially active artistic medial literacy. Branko Čegec's 1992 collection "Ekrani praznine", capturing the traces of time, as well as Josip Stošić's exhibition "Čudo", are certainly the centerpiece. Stojević's and Čegec's works intensively draw the matrix of intermediality through all new collections, and in the manuscripts of authors who appeared in literature after 1991, there are also showed that for some intermediality is a discreetly rhythmic one of the carriers of the opus, for some it is an excessive one-book compact investigation with the work of a single manuscript (Jurak, Radić, Brlošić, Ivankovac and Nagulov ...), and for some it is part of erudite non-encyclopedism (Sorel, Kukavica). The context of the new technical dominance of the Internet culture gives a small motivic supplement to new forms of intermediality, but even more strongly illu minates the non-competitiveness of technoscience before the humanities of the smallest literary textual scope - poetic text, even if it is a novel, and its intermedial imagination.
