Abstract

Ivan Bakmaz (1941-2014) has written more than fifty dramatic texts that have been published in a number of literary magazines and in two books of plays (Vjerodostojni prizori, 1980. i Biblijski prizori, 1998.). Croatian literary and theater critics have pointed out that some Ivan Bakmaz’s texts are one of the best examples of the Theater of the Absurd in Croatian theatre. The aim of this paper is to analyze Vježbe u Goethe-institutu (1976) and Ispit iz hrvatske književnosti (1982) and their relationship with Eugène Ionesco’s plays.
