Abstract

The paper analyses organisation of archival fonds of state bodies that operated during the periods of public administration reorganisations from 1956 to 1965. Primal example used in the paper is the fonds HR-HDA-1412. Secretariat for General Economic Affairs of the Executive Council of the Parliament (Sekretarijat za opće privredne poslove Izvršnog vijeća Sabora), followed by the analysis of other fonds that contain the material of central public administration bodies that operated in the specified period. The collected data opened innumerable new questions, indicated the problems that archivists face in practice, and pointed out the lack of systematic and detailed research into the histories of individual bodies, their record-keeping systems and connections with other bodies as well as the need to improve acquisition policies in order to take over the materials as arranged as possible. The data presented in the paper is only a small part of the entire puzzle, which should be put together as soon as possible in order to enter in the new future archival processes and reforms as efficiently as possible.
