Abstract

As already known, the World Bank carefully monitors, suggests and influences reforms of the social security system in Croatia, and particularly reforms concerning pensions and health care. Our journal usually publishes World Bank reports that are relevant to the development of social policy in our country. However, this time there is a chapter on pension reform in Croatia taken from the document of the Department for Albania and Croatia (European and Central Asia Region) of the World Bank, issued in February this year under he title “Programme of Measures for Economic Reform and Growth”. We believe that the reader will find in this paper a large amount of interesting information and assessments of our pension system, its problems and the development of pension reform which is supported by the World Bank.
