PROBLEM OF ROAD NETWORK IN NEW SPACE PLANS AND ECOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES IN THE PLANING OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
EDC and Comittee for the development of Vinodol suggest a more convenient route from Rupa to Vrata and Vratnik, and their suggestion is sustained by the Government of Republic of Croatia. This route offers a shorter, cheaper and more adequate transport route. Although self-financed and on payment, it excludes the payment on the road along the coast. This solution would make easier the connection of the fast road of all the places on the coast and in Vinodol with Rijeka and highway knots. It is also significant because it would protect the quality of a compact touristic region and would stop the loss of touristic product’s value.
