Abstract

The theme of this work is the changes to the national and religious composition of Brodsko-Posavska County during the period between the two census of 1991 and 2001. On the basis of data from these two rich sources, the author analyzes and interprets the causes and consequences affected by the nationalreligious structure of the population, especially analyzing the changes in the numerical indices of the relative positions of the Croats – Serbs and Catholics – Orthodox on the territories of the former districts of Nova Gradiška and Slavonski Brod, which have formed Brodsko-Posavska County since 1991.
