Abstract
This paper interprets transhumanism as the final phase within Leontiev’s philosophy of history, placing it in a broader context of civilizational decadence. Rather than viewing it as a technological leap toward the future, transhumanism is understood as an anthropological symptom of disintegration - a moment in which the human being is reduced to technical functionality and culture loses its symbolic and metaphysical verticality. It is argued that transhumanism does not signify the end of history but its entropic culmination: the end of the struggle for the form of the soul and the beginning of a post-human regime devoid of sanctity, tragedy, and meaning. The concluding section raises the question of whether transhumanism may also mark the end of the cyclical historical dynamic outlined by Leontiev, considering the possible disappearance of the human being as the ontological bearer of culture.
