Abstract

The paper analyses the speech of Ražanac in Zadar’s inland (Ražanac seaside). It focuses on phonologic characteristics, partially covering other linguistic characteristics. Analysis has shown that the speech of Ražanac belongs to the western, i.e. Neoshtokavian Ikavian dialect. In analyzing their speech, we can observe the existence of certain Chakavian characteristics which Ražanac speech adopted due to its long years in an old Chakavian area.
