Abstract
On the 15th May 2002 Prof. Milutin Dobrenić will celebrate his 85th birthday. Prof. Dobrenić was for many years Head of the Department of Oral Pathology at the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb and Director of the Department of Oral Diseases in the Dental Clinic at the University Hospital Centre in Zagreb. He is a Doctor of Philosophy and Medical Sciences. He started work in the dental profession in 1948, in the School Polyclinic in Zagreb as a professional collaborator and Assistant at the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb, and as lecturer in the Department of Dental Pathology. As Head of the Department, he taught Oral Pathology as an Associate and Full Professor from 1962 to 1983, up until his retirement. He was the founder of contemporary clinical disciplines in Oral Pathology, which he headed up until his retirement.
