Abstract

In the paper is given historical review of expanding knowledge on magnetism, geomagnetism and its variations. Described influence of Sun on magnetic field of Earth: Sunspot, Solar cycle, Solar wind and given explanation why we have daily and annually variation of magnetic declination and inclination.
The paper is written and beside of this what today in geodesy isn’t in use surveying with magnetic compass traverses. Namely, today are beside satellite navigation in cars incorporated electronic compass and numerator of turning car wheel for more information in this moment when sky above GPS-antenna isn’t enough clean. Beside of this geodetic person are interested to know haw is coming until disturbance in receiving radio signals transmitted from the GPS-satellites.
