Abstract

Terrestrial threedimensional laser scanning is a relatively new technology of contact-free surveying. The advantages of such systems have been enumerated, as well as the combination of 3D laser scanning with GPS RTK in preparation of geodetic project bases. The technology is applied on the project of waste management landfill Barutanski brig near Biograd n/m, with total area of 75 ha. The advantage of the combination is extremely efficiency (high speed and low cost), especially in the view of security and complexity of surveyed object. It is expected that this methodology shall find its application in interdisciplinary engineering practice.
