On the basis of these characteristics, and other distinctions that were confirmed during this research, it is confirmed that the Brovinje idiom belongs to the Cakavian dialect and that there is great similarity between this idiom and the Labin idioms of the central Istrian subdialect of the Ekavian dialect.
