Internet addiction – does it exist?

Abstract
A specially constructed questionnaire with statements about symptoms of "Internet addiction" was answered by 205 on-line participants, who decided to take part in this investigation. Judged by an arbitrarily established criterion, which was in accordance with criteria used in similar studies performed in other countries, the group taking part in this investigation had 11% Internet addicts. This percentage is similar to percentage cited in the literature, but according to the participants' global self-report about Internet addiction, this percentage is 34.
