Abstract
This paper presents a model for orientation and self-assessment of abilities of small production systems prior to making final decision on implementation of the 6σ-methodology. The model has been developed during realization of the Project [1], in relation to adjustment of the stated methodology to small organizations and at their evaluation in actual processes. In a flexible way, the model assists the top management in reviewing current level of the process and the business system abilities, and assures valid facts for the purposes of decision making.
