Abstract
The influence of various water solution pH (4, 5, 6 and 7) on germination energy and germination of red clover cultivar Viola seed stored for 3 and 5 years, and radicle, hypocotyls and total seedling length was investigated. The highest average seedling and hypocotyls length was found at pH 4, and the highest radicle length at pH 5. The lowest average germination energy was estimated at pH 6, and the lowest germination at pH 6 and 7. Germination energy, seed germination and radicle length were higher in the 3 years old seed. Length of hypocotyls and total seedling length were higher in the 5 years old seed.
