THE PROVERB IN THE CROATIAN AND GERMAN TELEVISION PROGRAM

Abstract
This paper represents the results of an analysis of a corpus of proverbs collected in the Croatian and German television program in the last five years (2000 – 2005) and focuses on the following themes: in which television programs the proverbs are used, in which parts of texts the proverbs are located, which are the formal issues of these proverbs, who are the emitents of proverbs and which is the function of proverbs in the television program.
