Abstract
This paper looks into the work model used in the project of primary school
extracurricular activity in history. In 2008/2009 students of history independently
carried out fieldwork research, during which they examined 240 years of existence
and activities of the Holy Trinity Parish Church in Čepin. The research was followed
by a critical analysis of the entire work on the project and synthesised in an essay
prepared for the history competition on a county level. It was also converted to a
Power Point presentation for public presentation of results obtained during the work
on the project and a poster for a public exhibition outside school.
Students are capable of active, independent and team learning, whereas
project work enriches school experience and adds a new quality to it.
