Abstract

The problem of death and dying is very present in literature and
is a subject of numerous scientific researches. Although, from
biological perspective, there are no more secrets about it,
emotionally, death and dying are still very unacceptable. The issue of
guilt, unfinished processes of grieving, forgiveness lead to numerous
psychological problems, and often to serious psychic disturbances.
Today's man is using numerous mechanisms with which he is
trylng to diminish fear and "run away from death, searching for (on
his own scientific way) formula for eternity.
In the dynamic of events related to death, we don't find
differences between today's dynamics and the dynamics described
many, many years ago by some teachers of psychiatry. In the
encounter with death, we are using numerous mechanisms that help
us defend from negations, identifications, introjection, but the result
is always the same.
To speak about the dying persons, who are dying alone in
hospitals, nursery homes, is to speak about us, who fearing death,
leave our loved ones to die alone. Even by doing that, we still have
lots of psychological problems that seriously threat our menthal
health.
