Abstract

In keeping with the process of harmonisation with the European Union, in 2008 two European norms were adopted in Croatia regarding workplace illuminance: HRN EN 12464-1 and HRN EN 12464-2. These two norms are to replace the current norm HRN U.C9 100 from 1962 and the Recommendation JKO from 1974. The paper examines in brief their similarities and differences. In addition, a brief overview of the implementation of the lighting calculation norms is given.
