RADIOECOLOGY AS A FACTOR OF SAFETY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

Abstract

SUMMARY: The paper presents the importance of radioecology as a safety factor in the Mediterranean, with special focus on the Adriatic. A survey and description of radioecology investigations in progress in the Croatian Adriatic zone is provided. They are part of a larger program of monitoring environment radioactivity in Croatia.
