Abstract

The article brings an algorithm for the analytical determination of the specific heat of water vaporization by means of the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. The functional dependence on the corresponding water saturation temperature for each of the values present in the equation is given. The influence of each of the values, determined through the corresponding equation, on the value of the calculated vaporization heat is shown by comparison with the tabled value. Such particular analysis has yielded a very precise analytical form of the saturation line, i.e. its highly exact derivate. Perceivable differences occurred in selected functional correlations of the specific volume of boiling water
and saturated steam and the corresponding saturation temperature. Although the differences occurred at the level of individual influences, they abated at the level of the entire algorithm, so that, as it may be seen in the paper, the derived and proposed analytical model gives very good approximation of the tabled values of the specific evaporation heat in a wide range of saturation temperatures; 0 ≤θ '≤ 365 oC. This means that significant differences occur in the temperature range near the critical point, i.e. in the interval 365 <θ '≤ θkr = 373,95 oC.
