INTENTION TO BUILD GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH IN SPLIT

Abstract

The activities carried out by the Roman Sacra Congregatio de Propaganda Fide, from January 1st to May 5th 1682, against building a Greek Orthodox Church in Split, are presented in this paper. Giorgio (Zorzi) Calergi wanted to design and build the church. His
project was not, however, realized, due to the aforementioned activities.
