Sports Law, Policy & Diplomacy Journal (SLPD Journal) is thematically interdisciplinary open and therefore publishes contributions from various social disciplines: law, economics, political science, sociology, interdisciplinary social sciences. The journal publishes scientific, exceptionally professional papers and peer-reviewed conference papers, with priority given to papers on topics of general social and international interest, especially empirical and comparative research that is not local. Only manuscripts of satisfactory scientific quality, submitted to the review process in accordance with the theme of the journal, will be considered. Contributions are submitted to the editors exclusively in electronic form via the journal's editorial system (Open Journal System), which is published on the journal's website: https://ojs.srce.hr/slpdj/about/submissions Papers published in the journal are referred to in: SURF (Sport Information Portal) (Federal Institute of Sport Science ) (Bundesinstitut für Sportwissenschaft/ BISp), Idrottsforum.org ( Malmö University), Hrčak (Portal of scientific journals of the Republic of Croatia), HeinOnline and ERIHPLUS. The Journal is published twice a year (1st number: until September and 2nd number: until December) and uses the digital object identifier (DOI) for each paper as the persistent article identifier (PID). The average number of weeks between article submission & final publication in the full number of the Journal (including all phases of the reviewing, copyright and publication process) for the Vol. 1 – Vol. 3 was 9,2 weeks. The Journal through its Publisher – University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law is a signatory of the UN SDG Publishers Compact, and it endorses SAGER recommendations.

• Rights: Sports Law, Policy & Diplomacy Journal supports full Open Access, which means that all content is freely available without charging users or their institutions. The Journal does not charge author’s processing or publication fees. The Journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution CC BY 4.0 licence (from vol. 3, no. 2 (2025); while before the Journal used the CC BY NC licence) to all published papers, which permits use, distribution, reproduction and archiving in any medium for any purpose, even commercially, provided the original work is properly cited.
