Kinematical transformations and structural ageing of amorphous Sex Te1-x system

Abstract
Differential thermal analysis studies of the binary system Sex Te1-x are reported and thermal phenomena accompanying the temperature induced changes are discussed. Glass transition mechanism is interpreted and the activation enthalpy is calculated. Thermal crystallization process bas been studied and interpreted using a phenomenological model with activation enthalpy h*. When the samples are kept at a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature ageing occurs which is related to a slow depolymerization process.
