Sažetak
This study addresses the demand for efficient and rapid charging solutions driven by the rise in electric vehicle (EV) adoption. It presents the design and simulation of a 100 kW bidirectional AC-DC matrix converter tailored for fast EV charging. Key aspects include the converter's three-phase matrix architecture, control strategies utilizing PI controllers and PWM, and the management of bidirectional power flow. Additionally, the study evaluates power, voltage, and current performance on both AC and DC sides, explores battery charging and discharging characteristics, and assesses total harmonic distortion (THD) across multiple simulation cases. The findings contribute a comprehensive design approach for high-power bidirectional converters, enhancing the EV charging infrastructure and supporting advancements in sustainable transportation technologies.
