Sažetak
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is autoimmune disease with platelet count less than 150 000/ µL and with greater risk of skin and mucous membrane hemorrhage. Though pregnancy doesn’t increase expression of symptoms and perinatal outcome is eventually good the literature so far points necessity of evaluation and treatment to avoid possible severe consequences. This case report comprises evaluation and treatment of patient with platelet count of only 1000/µL at hospital admittance and once more during pregnancy. The pregnant woman was treated according to recent guidelines of ASH (American Society of Hematology) and BCSH (British Commettee for Standards in Hematology) accepting individual approach as guidelines suggest. Cesearean section was performed and good perinatal outcome was accomplished, thereby postpartal thrombocytopenia of an infant was avoided.
