THE TRANSFORMATION OF EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS

Sažetak
The author in the article considers issues arising from evolution of employment relations paying special attention to their commonly accepted notion and subsequent forms including the modern form. She specifies reasons according to which it is indispensable to identify the existence of employment relations by applying the legal tests established by court practice. Furthermore, the author points at distinction between the employment relations and working contract according to the labour law theories to avoid their identification. She gives explanations for factors and their impact on transformation of employment relations and issues correlated with the modern employment relations. In addition, the author consults economic theories to get an insight into legal regulations impact on workers and employers with respect to increase of their efficiency and creation of profit, that is, costs and benefits resulting from certain policy which was previously chosen and applied in the market with modified market and economic circumstances. Conclusively, the author analyses segments of employment relations which have led to deterioration in employment relations.
