The Križevci Captaincy in the 17th Century

Sažetak

Based on published and unpublished sources, the author considers the most important segments from the life of the Križevci captaincy. The text focuses on studying the relations between the military and civil society and population, since it was in Križevci where the double jurisdiction of the Križevci County and the Slavonian Military Border overlapped. The author also considers other elements of development in the 17th century. The aim of this study is not to explain the basic processes functioning in the Križevci region and around it, it is an introduction into the Military Border theme concerning Križevci and its surroundings.
