The Economy as a Factor in the Development of the Cities in Croatia

Sažetak

In this article, I wanted to clarify the effect of agriculture on the development of the cities in Croatia. In the first section I considered the effect of individual agricultural activities on the development of cities, while in the second I attempted to determine the extent of the effect of agriculture and that of all other factors (population, infrastructure, manpower migration etc.) on the development of Croatian cities with over 25,000 inhabitants. On this occasion, I was not concerned with factors which initiated city development but the group of factors which effected the present development and general existence of cities.
