Sažetak
The role of a pedagogue in integrated education includes, among other things, determining mental and physical condition of a student and his or her readiness for attending school, conducting observation programs, participation in designing adapted and individualized programs, but that role is the most important and the most demanding in continuous cooperation with teachers and parents, and in developing a positive school environment in order to sensitize other students to particular needs of students with difficulties. The role of a pedagogue is also important in the activities related to extracurricular activities, workshops, meetings and social contacts, which emphasize the abilities of children with difficulties that were neglected during the regular school classes (talents in art, music or literary expression, etc.). Those activities are particularly important for children, because if their difficulties are ignored or not recognized they can have poor school performance. Relationships with other students, their mutual interactions and inclusion in all activities are some of the most important factors of successful socialization and integration of children with difficulties. Education of children with difficulties implies
comprehensive participation of various experts, and pedagogue's contribution makes the practice of integrated education more complete and improves its quality.
