Recommended procedures for the analysis of girders submitted to bending stress

Sažetak
A procedure for the analysis of girders submitted to bending stress, resulting in higher efficiency of girders, is described. The procedure of connecting two previously deformed girders in such a way that the total height is equal to the sum of heights of both girders is recommended. The state of stress of one such girder is analyzed. Results are compared with those obtained by analyzing girders of equal height according to a traditional procedure. The analysis of results shows that an increase in bearing capacity of girders of rectangular section may be up to 50 percent.
