Memories of Automation Seminars at the Open University in Zagreb

Sažetak
In the article, within the 110th anniversary of the Zagreb Open University, a segment from the history of organizing education in this institution for nearly 50 years has been presented. Significant emphasis was placed on the ability and readiness of the former administration, which was accepted by the education of employees from a completely new area of automation, whose contents had just been introduced in teaching at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, and about 20 years later in technical schools. This is a good example of the opportunities offered by the Open University and the logical assumption of the role of the institution for lifelong learning.
