Sažetak

Production of early potatoes in the municipality of Ljubuški has a long tradition. In order to secure the marketing of the potatoes produced, the producers have partnered through an established agricultural cooperative that organizes production on 298 hectares. Early potatoes from Ljubuški became a brand recognizable on the market under the name „Ljubuški early potatoes“. Dominant cultivars in cultivation are Anays and Carrera, and the total production is 6.000 tons. Due to earlier planting dates, growing potatoes does not, as a rule, limit the appearance of harmful organisms. Some years of economically significant damage can be caused by potato beetle.

Abstract

Proizvodnja ranog krumpira na području općine Ljubuški ima višegodišnju tradiciju. S ciljem sigurnijeg plasmana proizvedenog krumpira proizvođači su se udružili kroz osnovanu poljoprivrednu zadrugu koja organizira proizvodnju na 298 ha. Rani krumpir iz Ljubuškog postao je brend koji je na tržištu prepoznatljiv pod nazivom „Ljubuški rani“. Dominantni kultivari u uzgoju su Anays i Carrera, a ukupna proizvodnja iznosi 6.000 tona. Zbog ranijih rokova sadnje, uzgoj krumpira u pravilu ne ograničava pojava štetnih organizama. Pojedinih godina ekonomski značajne štete može pričiniti krumpirova zlatica.
