Mihovil Pansini or Quite an Intentional Glorification

Sažetak

The main intention of the text is to emphasise the significance of Mihovil Pansini in the history of Croatian cinema and its modernist tendencies, but also to place Pansini’s work in the broader context of European and world cinema, which shows that its significance is immeasurable and perhaps even greater than has been shown in the previous valorisations of Pansini’s work. Also, the intention was to point out once again the importance of GEFF, a festival which, together with other events in Zagreb at the time, significantly liberalised the art scene within the socialist system.
