Abstract

There are different theories about Karst formations and groundwater movement, but the most purposeful is the one that would contain the largest number of facts, obtained through concrete hydrogeological investigations. For this reason, in order to get to know hydrogeological characteristics of a Karst region it takes a systematic, complex and usually a long lasting investigation involving a number of scientific disciplines and execution of an optimal number of investigation works. The said investigations have a greater importance if the data obtained are stored in a database and processed, which is exactly what this paper deals with. On the example of well bores this paper has practically presented the essentials for a proper definition of the problem, the efficiency of the table analysis in simple solving of complex tasks, and, at the end, the results in the GIS tool environment and Oracle database.
