Sažetak
The goal of this paper is to show the 3D modelling application software Rhinoceros 3D and its add-on Grasshopper and their usage in the making of a computer 3D model of a small span pedestrian bridge. What differentiates Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper from other application software for 3D modelling is that Grasshopper is a visual programming tool and can facilitate a parametrically defined 3D model through a graphic interface. Although Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper are not specialized for any particular engineering activity, the goal of this paper is to show that they can be used for the making of a civil engineering construction, and that on the basis of a correctly defined algorithm it is possible to make valid variant solutions of the construction. Also, for an additional challenge, the civil engineering construction will be of an atypical form which would be very hard or even impossible to make in a different application software for parametric modelling of civil engineering constructions. In the end, it is important to say that it is possible to analyse any variant solution made with Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper in an application software for structure analysis or to make a visualization of the structure in the surrounding area.
