DIOKI materials for the production

Sažetak

During DIOKI’s 50 years long history, the company has monitored and applied new polymer production and processing technologies, and improved the properties of finished products. This paper presents the DIOKI products intended for the manufacturing of thermoplastic foams. OKIROL® E/EF is expandable polystyrene produced in the form of polymer beads, containing blowing agent and other additives, processed in a continuous expander and widely used for the manufacturing of blocks for panels intended for insulation in
the building construction industry, and for the manufacture of insulation and packaging articles on steam moulding machines. DOKI® POLISTYRENE, OKITEN® and DINALEN® are thermoplastics materials which, with addition of blowing agent and other necessary
ingredients during polymer processing, can be used for production of expanded polymers. The paper also provides a more detailed description of extrusion used for the production of polyethylene foamed foils and polystyrene foamed panels in correlation with their final properties.
