The Child With a Mole
Miodrag Vučeljić
Sažetak
In mathematics as in other sciences (both natural and social ones) learning to read means learning to learn: to observe facts presented in a text – their relationship, coherence or contradiction, to recognize hypotheses or views and to be able to distinguish between them and facts. On a higher level of knowledge students will be able to make generalizations, present hypotheses, perform research and provide proof.
The aim of this paper is to give the reader a possible model of teaching students how to read in depth mathematical texts. Of course, depending on the nature of a mathematical text variations are possible and necessary.
