The Forensic Aspect of Criminal Investigation of Fire

Sažetak
This paper is a result of our intention to put more emphases on forensic aspects of criminai inve¬stigation of fire, which is insufficientlv presented in the scientific literature. In the domain of criminal investigation of fire there is a need to implement specific approaches, methods and equipment because of the nature of phvsical evidence and circumstances, which are completelv different from those in other crime investigations. Certain preconditions have to be fulfilled for successful fire investigation. Taking into account that fire is a complex and specific phenomenon, there is a need to provide further specialization of crime investigators in this field as well as the importance of multidisciplinarv approach in investigation of such phenomenon.
