Librarian e-animator : an example of the appliance of bussines intelligence

Sažetak
This paper presents the findings of a pilot-project of the library of the Electrical Engineering Faculty in Zagreb. The aim of the project was to prepare secondary school fourth-year students of several technical schools in Croatia for the study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb using the e-learning method. Preparatory materials and tests were supplied to the students through Merlin, distance-learning software developed by the University Computing Centre (SRCE) and AAI@EduHr, CARNet’s infrastructure for authentication and authorization within the system of science and higher education.
This paper discusses the inclusion of an academic library in the educational processes as well as its role in e-learning processes.
