Sažetak

The author is trying to present the work and thought of J.
Ratzinger starting from his book Faith, Truth and Tolerance. The
debates, collected and published under the above title, are the
summary of his theological, philosophical and existential analyses
in relation to what is currently going on in the field of ideas,
thoughts, ethics and morality. The article is trying to investigate
and to present the relationship that exists among faith, truth
and human life, as it is expressed in the above- mentioned work
and in the author’s other works (interviews, lectures) published
in Croatian translation.
The work is divided into three parts. The first part outlines
the main characteristics of religions and their interrelation. The
second part investigates the meaning of religion to contemporary
man. The third part points out the specifics of Christian
religion.
