Sažetak

Removable dentures are replacement therapy for lost natural teeth and resorbed
bone tissue or altered soft tissues of the oral cavity. Its task is to establish function and esthetics
of the stomathognathic system. Since dentures, complete or partial, are a foreign body in
the oral cavity, they inevitably interfere with the patient’s speech. For this reason, phonetic
rehabilitation contributes greatly to the success of mobile prosthetic replacement as well as
patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to analyze the complexity of speech and its
intertwining with prosthodontic rules and voice alterations that occur with the carriers of dentures
and are caused by theirs production.
