In the text six recent studies about adult education
professionals have been described, which have been realized
on European level and in the countries from the region.
ALPINE - Adult Learning Professions in Europe, Key
competences for adult learning professionals, Competencebased
approach to further training of adult education staff and
Adult Educators - Professionalization and Profession.
Competences frameworks developed as part of the studies
have been described, together with key results, and
conclusions and recommendations based on those results.
