Project Optimization for the First Stage of the Split - Solin Sewerage System

Sažetak
The methodological approach and main principles used in finding an optimum design solution to key portions of the Split - Solin Sewerage System are described in the paper. A special emphasis is placed on optimization of the first stage of construction of the final portion of the sewerage system, and it is stressed that an adequate weight must be placed on the imperative need for appropriate waste water treatment and discharge, as it is an unavoidable step in the direction of solving the problem of evacuation, treatment and undersea disposal of waste water in Spit and Solin, which has been unjustly neglected for a very long time.
