Wondering how to preach the gospel to young people today, the author reminds us that we live in a world where religion has become a subjective choice, and the religiosity of many people is in a state of crisis. At the same time, many young people have a desire to encounter Jesus Christ. The Church is therefore invited to renew its offer of religion. Today's young people feel the difficulty of living a life of faith. Together with Pope Benedict XVI, the author affirms that one becomes a Christian by through encounter with an event, with a person. Therefore, whoever wants to educate others in the faith, must encounter the Word of God and its pedagogy. The Bible offers us different models and descriptions of the ways of faith. Prominent biblical prototypes are Abraham in the Old Testament and Mary in the New Testament. Christ is the beginning and goal of our faith. Holiness is the ultimate goal of education in the faith. Young people need help on their way to a more filial and stronger affiliation to the Church. Despite the difficulties, no one should be discouraged and remain on the threshold of evangelization. Young people today need to hear the proclamation of Jesus Christ and they need to be led to him.
